The Third Khamtrul Rinpoche

The Third Khamtrul Rinpoche Ngawang Kunga Tenzin (1680-1728), founded the Phuntsho Chokhor Ling monastery, popularly known as Khampagar, with the patronage of the king Of Lhathog. He was well known for his scholarship. He wrote seventeen volumes of commentaries including the explanations on preliminary and Actual practice of Mahamudra.
