The ADC volunteers from Bhutan welcomed the year 2010 on a very high note. The year 2009 proved to be a very eventful year and year 2010 is set to be even better.

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have come across our Teacher His Eminence Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche, under whose blessings we had the good fortune and honor to meet His Holiness and various precious Drukpa Lineage Masters. Our participation at the 1^st Annual Drukpa Council will always remain etched in our memories for times immemorial. Our Pilgrimage to Singye Dzong, led by His Eminence was extraordinary and spiritually fulfilling experience. And there are countless encounters, meetings with Rinpoches and our Drukpa brothers and sisters from all around the world which makes us to believe that we are putting our lives to some meaningful purpose. And to add to this eventful year, His Eminence bestowed us the honor to celebrate the new year eve with us and welcome the year 2010 with a renewed sense of hope and confidence.

We also had the good fortune to have amidst us His Eminence Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche and our Dharma brothers and sisters from Malaysia. We hope that Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche, and all our friends from Malaysia enjoyed the evening as much as we did hosting them and having them as part of our family. We also hope that our connection will grow further and that we get to meet again and again. We were also honored to have His Eminence Kyabje Khamdag Trulku Rinpoche and his lovely family from Ladakh. So the attendees at the dinner were from at least four different countries but we felt like one big family, a family guided by spiritual values.

As a befitting conclusion to a festive night of a sumptuous dinner and songs and dances, His Eminence Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche administered Kago (Blessings) on everybody to enter the new year with renewed hope and confidence and to rededicate our thoughts and actions for the benefit of all sentient beings.

On behalf of all the Bhutanese Volunteers, we would like to thank firstly His Eminence Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche for blessing us with this honor. Secondly, we would like to thank His Eminence Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche and our friends from Malaysia and His Eminence Kyabje Khamdag Trulku Rinpoche and family for honoring us by partaking in the New Year celebrations with us. Thirdly, we would like to thank Ashi Kesang and family for hosting the dinner at their serene palace and for the delicious food. Thank you all very much from the depth of our hearts.
