New Year Greetings 2012

1000 Years of NaropaTo all the Drukpa Centre Heads,

Firstly I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and thank you all deeply for your continued contribution to the Drukpa Lineage and for fulfilling the wishes of our root guru His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa.

I have been commanded by H.H. to look after the matter of making a standardized uniform for the Drukpa Lineage lay followers regardless of whether they are European, Asian or American. H.H. and I feel that having a uniform that is consistent will reflect the unity and the harmony of the Lineage across the world though we may be of different cultures, countries and race.

Rinpoche also gave teachings on the Amitabha Pure Land and concluded by mentioning that for the duration of the pilgrimage, the participants should at least take the basic Bodhisattva vows of not eating meat, not killing, not stealing, avoiding sexual misconduct, not engaging in useless talks and not creating disputes amongst the Sangha members.

vietnam ttashi 2011Dear Dharma Friends,

We are in Dalat; we got in here yesterday la. It is an amazing place la and somewhat reminds of Bhutan especially during arrival at the airport. It rains occasionally and the weather is fantastic la. Above all the most fascinating and incredible thing in Vietnam is the faith the people have shown for our lineage and His Holiness  la. We feel so proud to be a part of all this unfolding faith the people here have for our lineage la.
