Meeting Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo for the first time and ADC Program

It was such a wonderful thing to see His Holiness again and for the Dragons to come together and practice Dharma in spiritual ways and in more active ways through Live to Love Activities!

It was especially nice to see Jetsunma Tenzin Pelmo after hearing many great things about her from His Holiness and others. I came to know that she has a great devotion to 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche, due to that or due to many blessings she has received. I genuinely felt a great joy to see her!

After coming to know her personally, she has also gained my admiration for the great support and encouragement she has been and still is for all practioners and especially for female Sanghas in our lineage. I am really happy that H.H.Gyalwang Drukpa has recognized her for her efforts and encouraged her by enthroning her to Jetsunma.

I was also very happy to see the Drukpa Vietnam participating and join the spiritual activities in Druk Amitabha. I have known them for long time, their dedication and sincerity has always touched me and all the masters.

What I really like about all our gatherings is a sense of belonging to the Drukpa spiritual family, and I feel deep appreciation to His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa for being such a great master and continually inspiring and guiding us in varied ways. I feel that His Holiness knows that we all need lots and lots of push for our spiritual developments, so His Holiness is giving us teachings and guidance in the guise of many mundane special occasions.

This time His Holiness has appointed me as the Chairman for the first Drukpa Council which is to be held in Druk Amitabha Nepal from 27th Dec to 5th Jan 2008.

The first few days will be for all the Drukpa masters to discuss between themselves in regards to their own activities and how we can support each other in a more organized way. Also we want to develop the beautiful Samaya or relationship we already have between us into full blossom!

Rest of the programs will be receiving teachings from His holiness and many Drukpa masters as possible in time period we have. I will urge you all to attend the programs because I feel our Drukpa Yogi Masters, will surprise all of us with great teachings though they are always humble! Myself excluded of course!

On the last day we will be doing Live to Love activities such as helping many of poor beings of Nepal, and of course we will be celebrating the New Year together!

This is a rough summary of our program, we will soon come out with official ADC website and detailed programs.

I know it is great responsibility for me but I am confident that H.H. Gyalwang Drukpa, the Avalokitesvara in human form will never do anything without reason. I also know that we the Drukpa councils have the whole Drukpa family to support us.
